DELL

Imagining the future of desktop computing.

I joined Dell’s Experience Design Group in 2010, after closing my previous company during the recession. I was on many product teams during my stint at Dell, and generally my group operated as the lead design group for Dell’s consumer efforts.

My group was responsible for Dell’s first Android phone, the Streak, which ran a heavily customized version of Android, as well as a complimentary desktop suite of software called Dell Stage, which was preinstalled on all Dell consumer PCs. I began my time at Dell as a senior UX designer and eventually independently led UX ownership on multiple products, including spending 1 year relocating to California to start the UX team at Wyse, a Dell acquisition.

My two most prized accomplishments at Dell were the 5 year product vision work we did to influence all Dell consumer roadmaps, as well as the Dell Canvas, which was a new work paradigm that provided a touch, pen and dial surface in addition standard mouse and keyboard input. We worked closely with Microsoft on the Dell Canvas and ultimately the integration of this functionality into Windows became the Microsoft Surface Dial.
